We are located in the southeast corner of British Columbia, Canada, on beautiful Lake Koocanusa.
The lake is only a short distance from Fernie and Cranbrook; conveniently located only 3 hours from Calgary; and only 30 minutes from the Canada/USA Montana border (Roosville border crossing). Listed in order of distances, the closest airports are: Cranbrook (British Columbia), Kalispell (USA) or Calgary (Alberta).

Koocanusa Campsite & Marina
You’ll find Koocanusa Campsite and Marina located in the heart of the East Kootenay’s South Country and just over the North Koocanusa Bridge. We are only a few minutes down the hill from Kikomun Creek Provincial Park. Please see below for driving directions.

Once arrived at the marina
After crossing the gates of the entrance of the Koocanusa Campsite & Marina, look for our office on your left, in the yellow building, right beside the fuel pumps. This is where we will meet to sign the waivers and get the equipment prior to walking down to the dock.

From Fernie

Drive West on Hwy#3 towards Cranbrook

Turn Left at Kikomun Creek Rd. (Right after the 3 and 93 Intersection/Dairy)

Follow the road straight down (past the provincial park) to the bridge across the lake.

Turn Right at Kikomun Creek Rd. (Before the 3 and 93 Intersection/Dairy)

From Cranbrook

Drive North on Hwy#93

Several Kilometers past the Grasmere Store, you will turn left at the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Rd Turnoff.

Turn Left on Kikomun Creek Rd, (past the provincial park) to the bridge across the lake.
From Rooseville / USA border
Koocanusa Campsite and Marina is on the far side of the bridge at the left hand side. There are restrooms by the store if you need to change, and we will then meet a the top of the boat launch.

Primary pick up location is at Sunshine Houseboats & Marina
H2O South
Sunshine Houseboats & Marina
The main pick-up location for H2O South is at Sunshine Houseboats & Marina, situated in the southeast corner of British Columbia. It's just a short drive from Fernie and Cranbrook, 3.5 hours from Calgary, and only an hour from the Canada/USA Montana border.
Camping on the south side of the lake? Let us know where you are camping and we can recommend the best pick up location for you! Please discuss this at the time of booking, as some locations may only be available at certain times of the year, depending on water levels.

Once arrived at the marina
Look for our boat on the dock behind the ice cream shop next to the waterpark. This is where we will meet to sign the waivers and get the equipment prior to boarding the boat.

Location 1 - Sunshine Houseboats & Marina

If you are coming on our boat, we will pick you up at the main pickup area on the docks of Sunshine Houseboats & Marina.
​
When you are travelling on Newgate road, you will know you are very close when you see a sign that says “Gold Bay Recreational Site”. Once you see this sign we suggest you slow down because our turn off is just on the corner ahead.
Location 2 - Big Pines Campground (by boat only)

If we are coming on your boat, please pick up your coach at the Big Pine Campground Marina. Your coach will be waiting at the boat launch.
​
Please be cautious when entering the marina, as the channel can be shallow. Also, remember that the swim area is a no-wake zone.
