Flyboard: FAQ

What is this?

The technology behind this new, fun activity is called Hydroflight. It uses the propelling force of the water to lift the rider and board into the air, simulating the feeling of flight.

What are the age requirements?

This activity is fun and suitable for ages of 13 and up (and weight minimum 100 lbs).  New clients will be assessed for maturity and comfort in the water.

Is it safe?

All H2O SCHOOL instructors and drivers have completed a first aid and flyboard certified training program. We provide a compulsory training session for every new rider. Lifejackets and helmets are required and provided by H2O SCHOOL. We have also partnered with BBtalkin USA (Bluetooth Waterproof Comunications) to ensure clear and direct communication between the rider and driver at all times.

How does it work?

A jet ski is used to pump water and supply pressure for lift. A hose acts as the towing connection while the jet ski follows behind, out of the line of sight of the rider. The driver of the jet ski uses the throttle to control the power of the water and rate of lift, the rider of the board controls the direction and angle of the flight.

How high can you go?

The sky is the limit! Well, actually the hose is your limit. First day riders usually go approximately 10 feet or 2 meters. Professional riders can reach upwards of 50 feet.

How hard is it?

Not hard at all! Relax and follow your body’s instincts, its as easy as riding a bike. Our trained instructors are ready to help make your flight a truly unique experience.
